Sheep Bells

We made a lunch stop at a sheep dairy, where the restaurant serves dishes made primarily with sheep's milk and cheese. (so much cheese). The restaurant is part of the barn, so you can look through a glass wall onto the sheep in the winter time, but since the sun was shining, they were out in the field, making lovely music with their bells. There were also chickens, lambs, a donkey and furry pigs to entertain the children (or Liam, as it turns out).
They are also heavily into poppy seeds here, so we tried a "noodle dessert with poppy seeds", unfortunately after we were already stuffed with fried cheese. The noodles where elongated gnocchi-like things, topped with melted butter and a lot of poppyseeds. Surprisingly very tasty (butter will do that).
We've also come across poppy seed strudel, poppy seed cake and poppy seed icecream - they love the black stuff!
We finished up in the backyard of some very friendly locals who had placed a sign saying "MiniKemp" on their house. They charged a small fee to let us drive into their lovely garden, hook up to the electricity and enjoy the sunshine while their kids ran around showing off to their new visitors (it's the same in every culture).
