Slovakian Fujara

We took a drive into the mountains to visit the little Unesco noted "national treasure" village of Vlkolinec, which though in pretty countryside, was actually pretty boring. There is a spring that bubbles up at the top of the mountain and flows through the village, which you can hear over the video below. The video itself is of this guy who came out to play the 2 metre long Slovakian shepherds flute, the Fujara". It's like a cross between a flute and a didgereedoo, with quiet music punctuated by sharp zoinks (no other way to describe it).

Have a listen!
